Subject Summaries:

Language Arts:

We are reading Ruby Bridges’ autobiography.

 

Math:  Students are working on factorization this week.  Some of the work will be on greatest common factors and least common multiple.

 

Science:  We are working with magnets.

 

Social Studies:  The Revolutionary War is the next unit students are studying.

Spelling Bee

 

Students may practice from the newspaper list that was sent home before winter break.  King’s spelling bee is scheduled for February 8th.

Penny Parade

 

Bring pennies for the penny parade by January 18th.  The winning class gets to go to the birthday party on January 25th.
