READING at the CROSSROADS II
Three authors will be coming to Galesburg this school year. In preparation, students are reading the three books, funded by grants such as the Galesburg Foundation, beginning with Sahara Special.  Teachers are planning many activities that:

•	Promote reading and writing across the curriculum and throughout the community
•	Make learning relevant to our students and their families while respecting the diversity of our community
•	Value and inspire students by showcasing their work in various media formats and
•	Encourage community-wide dialogue
