On August 31, 2023, we discovered a cyber incident.  At this time we believe that this incident was limited to small number of employees.  However, we are still investigating this matter and working to determine exactly what employees, if any, had information impacted.  Once that investigation is completed we will notify any employee who had information impacted.  If you do not receive a formal notice, then your information was not impacted.

CUSD #205 is committed to ensuring the security and privacy of all personal information in its control, and is taking steps to prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future. Since the discovery of the incident, CUSD #205 moved to secure, remediate, investigate, respond, and confirm the security of our systems. Specifically, CUSD #205 engaged a specialized cybersecurity firm to conduct a forensic investigation to determine the nature and scope of the Incident. Additionally, CUSD #205 reset all credential access to our network, changed administrative credentials,restored operations in a safe and secure mode, enhanced the security measures, and took steps and will continue to take steps to mitigate the risk of future harm.

 This cyber incident did not impact any systems containing student data.
