Galesburg Junior Senior High School

The highlight of the event was an insightful address by faculty speaker Greg Leibach. Addressing the new inductees directly, Leibach emphasized that their membership carries weight beyond a simple academic accolade. 

"With your induction, you are now the declared leaders of Galesburg Junior-Senior High School," Leibach told the students. "What an awesome responsibility that is."

During his speech, Leibach challenged the traditional definition of leadership, encouraging students to see themselves as influencers regardless of their official titles.

"Leadership is not reserved for just the team captains or the club presidents, and leadership does not appear in one cookie-cutter fashion," Leibach remarked. "Leadership comes from anyone who acts with high character and inspires others to do the same."

As the 52 students took their oaths, they committed to maintaining the high standards that earned them their place in the society. These students have demonstrated not only academic rigor but also a commitment to bettering their school and local community.
