🏈 Football Game Expectations for Students 🏈
We want everyone to have a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience while supporting our athletes and attending home football games this fall. To help ensure the safety and well-being of our students, families, athletes, and fans, we ask all students to follow the expectations below:
✅ Students should remain in the stands during the game unless visiting the concession stand or restroom.
✅ No running, horseplay, or ball-playing in the stadium or the concession area.
✅ Respectful behavior is expected at all times towards peers, staff, officials, and guests.
✅ Students should follow directions from school personnel and security immediately.
✅ Students in grades K–8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the stadium.
✅ 5th-8th grade students may sit with their families or in the designated school student section located in the northeast corner of the stadium (GJHS) or the north side of the home stands (Lombard). Elementary students must remain with their parents or guardians.

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming renowned speaker Michael R. DeLeon of Steered Straight Inc. to speak with our students and staff.
Through his powerful personal story and honest message about the dangers of vaping and addiction, Michael encouraged everyone in the room to listen, think, and make informed choices. At one point, his message was simple and heartfelt: “I am begging you to listen to me. Begging you. Because I care.”
Thank you, Michael, for sharing your story and for the impact you had on our students and staff today. Your message was powerful, honest, and one that will stay with many of us long after today.

Junior High Industrial Arts is off to a great start!
Students put their measuring skills to the test as they learned how to read a tape measure all the way down to 1/16 of an inch—including how to read the marks without the fractions printed on the tape, just like they might need to do in a real-world setting or on a construction site!
A large majority of students were able to quickly grasp the concept and understand how to measure like pros! That’s a pretty impressive skill—and one that many adults might need to brush up on! 😉
We’re excited to see what our students continue to learn and build in Industrial Arts this year!

A Community Investment That Will Grow!
We were excited to welcome members of the Heritage Tractor team to Galesburg to present a $1,000 donation to support our students and agricultural education program!
The donation is part of Heritage Tractor’s 2026 Traveling Tractor Tour, an initiative that brings together Heritage Tractor employees, customers, and communities across Illinois to support local organizations. At each stop along the tour, Heritage Tractor presents a $1,000 donation to an organization selected in that community. Although the rain kept the Traveling Tractor itself from making its planned visit to campus, it didn't stop the generosity behind the tour!
For the Galesburg stop, Heritage Tractor employees voted to select Galesburg FFA as the recipient of the donation. We are incredibly grateful that their team chose to invest in our students and the opportunities available through agricultural education. This generous support will help provide students with meaningful opportunities to learn, lead, and explore the many pathways within agriculture.
A huge thank you to Heritage Tractor and their Galesburg team for supporting our students and being a valued partner in our community. We truly appreciate your investment in the next generation!
