Early this morning, a group of excited Galesburg High School students boarded the train, bound for O’Hare International Airport. Their ultimate destination? Germany!
These Streaks will spend the next month living with host families, completely immersing themselves in German culture and daily life.
This journey brings the exchange full circle. These are the very same families of the German students who traveled to Galesburg and stayed in our community last fall.

Congratulations to the Galesburg High School Treble Singers! They have been selected to perform at the prestigious Illinois Music Education Conference (IMEC) in January 2027. This is one of the highest choral honors in the state, with only two to three treble choirs selected annually. Considered the musical equivalent of a state championship, this invitation highlights our students' extraordinary dedication, artistry, and passion. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and thrilled to represent Galesburg on the state stage! #StreaksNation

Our 7th-grade students had a blast during their end-of-year celebration today! Because sidewalk chalk was the absolute most popular request from our students, we opened up two full groups to head outside and get creative. Take a look at these incredible photos of our students turning the school walkways into a giant, vibrant outdoor art gallery! From intense 3-on-3 basketball tournaments in the gym to board games, Legos, and video games indoors, our students had an amazing time celebrating all of their hard work this year. We are so proud of our 7th graders! 🥳☀️

This prestigious recognition highlights not only her outstanding athletic achievements but also her dedication and sportsmanship.
