The best educational environment is one that nourishes both the mind and body. The Galesburg CUSD #205 Food Service team, along with our service partner Kohl Wholesale, provides fresh, nutritious, tasty meals that help students be healthy, focused, entergeticand successful-in and outside of the classroom. Beginning with the 2023 school year, the District has also partnered with local grower, Spurgeon Gardens to source local fruits and vegetables for student meals.

Every CUSD #205 student is eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch for the 2023-2024 school year. The program allows for one complete meal for each student. This means that if a student brings their lunch from home and wants milk or a second breakfast or lunch, the student's account will be charged according to the a la carte pricing.

Free meals are made possible by the federally-funded, Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.
