With the start of each school year comes staff institute days, and this year we welcomed Dr. Bill Daggett, founder of the Successful Practices Network and the International Center for Leadership in Education.
Dr. Daggett began his career as a teacher, became a local administrator, and then the Director of the New York State Education Department. Now he provides leadership and guidance to the National Dropout Prevention Center and the Career and Technical Education Technical Assistance Center.
During today's keynote, he challenged staff to focus more on the children's future than on maintaining the classrooms of our youth. He discussed how A.I. and emerging technologies are impacting the skills, knowledge, and attributes students need to be successful in the changing workplace and society.
