Due to the potential for extreme cold air temperatures tomorrow and forecasts from -15 to -28 combined with country road conditions, CUSD #205 will be closed on 1/7/22.

Due to white out conditions in rural areas, all Galesburg Community Schools will be closed today, January 5, 2022. Again, no school on Tuesday, January 5, 2022.
In the next few months, First Student Bus Service may periodically experience a driver shortage which may result in pick up and drop off delays and/or the combining of Bus Routes. Please check the CUSD #205 Website and Soical Media pages for daily updates to affected routes.

The District has been working closely with GPD to investigate the threats that have been widely shared via social media. At this time, these threats appear to be part of a larger string of threats aimed at schools throughout the state and nation. While we believe these threats are not directed at Galesburg CUSD #205 schools, we will take measures to ensure student and staff safety. Entrance to schools tomorrow will be monitored by GPD and searches will be conducted as needed. As always, if you wish to keep your child at home, this absence will be excused as long as you call your student in to report the absence.

CUSD #205 takes the safety and security of students and staff members seriously. Recently, we have been made aware of false accusations against a staff member at Churchill Junior High. We investigated these claims and found them to be false.
None of these accusations has any basis in fact. These rumors could be very damaging to our employees’ reputations. We are investigating the origins of this malicious rumor and will be considering legal action.
